There are a variety of ways that
We Can Help You
Individual Therapy
In-Person Therapy: We offer face-to-face therapy sessions, providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their feelings and challenges.
Virtual Therapy: For those who prefer or need to stay at home, we offer virtual therapy sessions, ensuring that everyone can access the support they need.

Group Therapy Services
Group therapy is designed to support children, adolescents, and young adults with similar needs and abilities. Groups typically include 5-8 children at a time and are led by two qualified professionals, including at least one licensed expert in the area. The focus of groups can range from developing social skills, executive functioning, and mindfulness to coping with anxiety and anger, and navigating divorce and friendships, with goals to improve interpersonal communication, conversation skills, emotional regulation, coping skills, problem-solving, and building healthy relationships. All group members are screened through a brief virtual intake to ensure appropriateness for the group.
Psychoeducational Group Therapy: This service provides clients with information and resources about specific psychological issues, helping them understand and manage their conditions more effectively.
Psychotherapeutic Group Therapy: This involves therapeutic treatment in a group setting, allowing clients to share experiences and learn from others facing similar challenges.
Family and Couples Therapy
Family and couples therapy provides a supportive space to address relationship challenges, improve communication, and rebuild trust. Whether you are facing conflict, life transitions, parenting struggles, or emotional distance, therapy helps you work together to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. With the guidance of a trained therapist, couples and families learn to navigate differences, heal old wounds, and strengthen emotional bonds — fostering growth, connection, and lasting change.

Parent Training
We provide training for parents to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to support their children’s emotional and behavioral development effectively.
Specialized Therapy Services
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy: This is a type of therapy that improves social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement.
Play Therapy: This is a therapeutic approach primarily used with children to help them express their feelings and experiences through play.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): This is a form of therapy primarily used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related issues. It involves recalling traumatic memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, typically eye movements, to help the brain process and desensitize the memory.

School Support
School and Academic Support for Students:
At Willow Roots, we are trained professionals who also work in schools as therapists, behaviorists, and child study team members. We are here to help enhance learning abilities while boosting self-confidence. Collaboration is key — we regularly work alongside teachers, school counselors, and community providers to create a network of support tailored to each student’s needs.
Guidance, Advocacy, and Empowerment for Parents: Navigating services and support for a child with a disability can feel overwhelming. Our therapists are passionate about helping parents confidently navigate the complex world of special education, acronyms, and school systems. We empower parents to become strong advocates for their children by providing guidance on 504 Plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), offering insights into appropriate supports and services, and helping you work collaboratively with your school district. Additionally, we connect families with valuable resources, services, and supports to ensure your child’s needs are fully met.
Let us help you become more like the Willow Tree:
