Willow Roots Therapy is a team of caring and compassionate therapists, including licensed psychologists and board certified behavior analysts, who look forward to working with your children, your family, and you!

Dr. Jessica Gordon

PsyD, BCBA

Dr. Jessica Gordon is a highly experienced licensed psychologist, certified school psychologist, and nationally board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) based in New Jersey, who is passionate about helping children and parents successfully navigate their relationships and environment. Dr. Gordon empowers families to facilitate change using a holistic approach that incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavior therapy, and client-centered therapy to help every client reach their individualized goals. She specializes in helping children, adolescents, and young adults and their families with challenges they may face related to autism spectrum disorders, attention difficulties, anxiety, and behavioral challenges.

Dr. Gordon earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and her Masters and Doctorate degrees from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. She completed her BCBA coursework through Florida Institute of Technology, and has extensive experience working with children and parents in ABA therapy as a certified behavior analyst for over 15 years. Dr. Gordon’s professional background includes working in and out of public schools to best assist in navigating the complexities of the school system. In her free time, Dr. Gordon loves to read, bake, exercise, and spend time with her family, friends, and dogs. She is excited about getting to know you and your family!

Dr. Kimberly Rifi

PsyD

Dr. Kimberly Rifi is highly qualified and experienced with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults. Her career began as an elementary school teacher, and her transition into school psychology in a middle/high school setting has provided her with a unique perspective on growth and development across various environments.

Dr. Rifi’s areas of expertise and research include grief, navigating chronic illness, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. She adopts a client-centered approach, carefully considering all aspects of a client’s life to develop the most effective treatment plan.

Dr. Rifi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education (2001), with certification in elementary education, followed by a Master’s in Educational Psychology (2007) and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology from Montclair State University (2018). After becoming a certified school psychologist, she began working in a middle/high school, where she continues to serve. She later pursued a Doctorate in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University (2024).

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Rifi enjoys spending time with her husband, three adolescent children, and their cat, Bruno. She also enjoys going to the gym, having date nights with her husband, and taking family cruises.
